Miss Priss is learning so much, especially from her big brother. She is so smart & I love that she can practically carry on a conversation (with real words & not just jibberish anymore). She has recently gotten into counting & saying her ABCs. She can count to ten-but she always skips number 3. This video is about a month old & was the first time she really counted that high. Now she just rolls through it like she’s been counting forever. ;0) She also know some of her ABC’s. We sing them everyday, but she really just says a, b, c…a, b, c…over & over again until the end.
Some other cute things she says are:
“Up miss daisy” (Oopsy daisy) if she drops something.
“I sit ee you?” (Can I sit with you?)
“Jessica!!” She has heard TAG & other people call me by my name & she likes to do the same from time to time.
“Shoo wee duwty…ewww” (dirty)
She met Bert the mule when we had some trees cut down at the house a few weeks back. Bert loved to eat. Averly loved to feed him. They were a perfect match. She would pick one blade of grass, hold it up to his mouth & say “eat, Burt!”
“Help mama stuck”
"On biiite” (You want a bite? I guess she does hear this a lot from us! She will hold up whatever she is eating & say it with the most southern drawl you’ve ever heard!)
“No, smine Ri-dey” (No, it’s mine Riley—if he is trying to take something of hers.)
“Bow peese” (Asking for her bow.)
“Stuse me” after burping
“Bess you” after sneezing
“Booderfy” (butterfly)
“Brodur is Ri-dey” (brother is Riley)
We are still trying to learn colors too. Right now every color is “boo” (blue) & most letters are D, but she will say geen boo yedow & pupul.
We were outside playing & she spotted some Sugar Gum tree leaves & said they were “stars”. They are kinda shaped like stars & I thought it was so sweet!
“Bye bye see u yater in da mawnin.” She says this either before bed or when we are leaving the house.
When she got her 18 month shots, she kept pointing to her leg & saying “Bambi.” I just thought she wanted a Bambi band-aid, but then I realized she was actually calling the band-aid “Bambi”. Sweet girl.
This video is more Riley talking than Averly, but ever since that morning, she now says that her food is “dewicious!”
She loves to draw, paint & do puzzles. We do puzzles every morning before Riley goes to school & again before nap time.
Throws trash away in the trash can.
When we are riding, as soon as the car stops she says “Get me!” as if we were going to forget her!
She is a girly girl & loves to wear Mama’s “gasses”, “neck-ses”, & whatever else she can get her hands on.
Her imagination is starting to come through & she pretend sleeps. She snores real big when she “sleeps”.
She is following in Riley’s footsteps & is very polite. She always says “yes ma’am/sir, no ma’am/sir” but sometimes gets the two confused. She also is good about using please & thank you when asking for something. And excuse me if she wants to get through.
She is a big girl & is wearing some 18 month clothes, but mostly 24 month/2T. Still wearing size 4 diapers. She has shown a little more interest in the potty but hasn’t used it since the couple of times she did a while back. I’m still not rushing her though. She gets the concept but isn’t even 2 yet so we’ll cross that bridge when it comes.
She is a little copy cat of Riley & has to do EV.ER.Y.THING he does. She is literally his shadow. I’m so thankful they have each other to play with & that they get along so well. I love watching my angel babies play together.
Averly Brooke,
You are such a joy to your dad, your brother, & me. We are so blessed to have you in our family & I am forever grateful that God chose me as your mother. You are such a beautiful angel, on the inside & out. I love you forever & always!!!
Mama
