Halloween is in the air!
I tried my best to get some good pictures of the kids at my parents’ house while we were there last weekend. They live back in the woods & their trees look absolutely gorgeous this time of year. I think it may be the main reason why I love fall so much. Even at a young age I would just sit on the porch watching the colorful leaves fall to the ground. Nothing better than fall!
Well my plans to get good pictures of both kids didn’t really work out too well. Riley was all over the place & refused to sit still for 1/2 a second for me to get a decent shot. So, with that being said, most of the pictures are of my little girl model with the pumpkins. However, I did get him to sit still long enough to paint his pumpkins.

Yep, this was the best that I could get with both kids in the picture! Ha!

Aren't the leaves beautiful?!

I love this little pouty face she was making.
Time to paint the pumpkins! Riley painted 2 & he had a blast doing it. We left one for Bubba & Vivi & took the other one back home with us to display.

Also, I just want to mention the fact that my baby sister turned 21 on Sunday! Happy Birthday Jamie aka Mamie! We love you & can’t wait to see you to celebrate with you!

Whoooo is out there?
A few of my bloggy friends have been doing posts to meet their readers & I thought I would do the same. I have a pretty small following, but I get an average of 150 hits per day. I think most of my readers are family & friends without blogs, but I still want to hear from everyone. Just to see who is interested in our lil ole lives!
So, leave me a comment so that I will know who you are & if you have a blog, I can check you out as well. If you don’t have a blog, just select Name/URL in the 'Comment As' drop-down.

Don’t be shy. Pretty please.

Riley’s 1st State game
Riley watched the Bulldogs play for the first time in person back on October 2nd. I was in Florida with some of my old sorority sisters for a little weekend getaway so TAG decided he would take Riley to his first SEC football game. I was nervous that he would not want to sit still for the whole thing, but TAG said he did really well. They only got up a couple times to walk around. They were playing Alcorn State, so it wasn’t a big deal for TAG to miss a little bit of the game.
Riley came home saying “Go Bulldogs!” over & over. He told me all about ringing his cowbell & that he saw Aunt Brooke & Uncle Josh there. He also went on & on about the animals at the zoo. TAG decided to just go all out that weekend with his boy & take him to the zoo. (Averly was at my parents’ house for the weekend.) I have no pictures to share because I am always the one snapping them & since I didn’t go…well you get the idea.
Anyway, thanks to my sister-in-law, I have a couple phone pictures of my big boy at his first college football game.
With his Aunt Brooke & her niece, Mara.

Daddy’s Girl
Averly is definitely a Daddy’s girl! She just loves him so much. Sometimes he is the only one that can soothe her when she’s upset & she loves playing with her Dada. She has him wrapped around her little finger for sure. If she wakes up during the night, he goes & gets her as soon as she starts fussing. With Riley, he would always tell me to just let him cry for a little while because it was ‘good for him’. But he cannot stand to hear his little girl upset.
It is so sweet that they already have such a strong Daddy-daughter bond.

He even let her play on Riley’s playset for the first time last weekend. Look how excited she was!
And then there’s my Mama’s boy…

Another visit to ‘Mamie’s’ house
Last week my sister's class needed to "borrow" my kids for an observance day on Wednesday. It was pretty neat to take them up to the school & see how Jamie's field work will come into play. The instructor cracked me up because she asked me if my husband was an athlete because both of my kids had such great muscle tone. My reply was "Yes, actually, he's a personal trainer & played college basketball." She said she "knew it!" TAG got a kick out of that because he is convinced that Riley will go pro in some sport one day! We can all dream right?! And Riley man, if you do go pro, remember your Mama! Haha!
We stayed a couple extra days to just hang out as well. We walked around downtown enjoying the beautiful weather.
I forgot a stroller so I had to lug mylittle chunk around all day.

We ate lunch outside. It was so perfect! I wish I lived somewhere that it was 75 degrees everyday!

He really loves his sister!

Riley can always find a way to entertain himself…and everyone around.
This picture was taken with my phone. Sorry about the poor quality. I wish I brought my camera to the little park. They were so cute in that swing together!

Funny story...the kids & I were eating one night while my mom went to visit a friend of hers. The people in the booth behind us ordered ice cream for dessert. Riley heard them & started asking me for some ice cream. I told him if he would be a big boy while we finish eating that we might get some at 'Mamie's' house. He was ok with that answer & ended up forgetting all about it by the time we were ready to leave. We were waiting on our waiter to bring us the check & my sister was watching him walk up behind Riley & I. I asked her if he was coming to our table & she said "no, he's bringing them their I-C-E-C-R-E-A-M" (spelling it out). No sooner than she got I-C-E out of her mouth did Riley yell ICE CREAMMMM!!!! {And no, he did not see the waiter bringing it to them because his back was turned to that table.}I think potato soup came out my nose & we were both in tears from laughing so hard. Riley didn't get what was so funny but after a minute of looking at us like we were crazy, he joined in the laughter. We've been practicing his letters & we always say that "I" is for ice cream. He jumped all over it as soon as that letter came out of her mouth! I guess we are going to have to resort to hand signals or something instead of spelling out words we don't want him to hear!
Telling his Mamie bye-bye!

Thanks for letting us stay for a few days, Jamie! It was great to get away for a while! We love you!

We have a crawler!
My sweet Averly started crawling last Tuesday (October 12th) and hasn’t looked back since! She is literally already into everything!! She’s a fast crawler, too. And would you know, my video camera just messed up so all I have right now is a few shots of her scooting. Just my luck for that to happen. Anyway, this little toot is so proud of her self & you can really tell it in these pictures.
“Wanna see what I can do?!”

“Come on, follow me!”

And she’s off!!

Going after the hallway night light.

“Ok, what else can I get into?”

WOW! I now have 2 mobile children! Let the fun begin!!
