Jealous Much?

Yes, actually I am. My parents just got back from vacation on the coast of California. Look at these amazing views they got to see all week long. I would give almost anything to be at any one of these beautiful places right now!

You may remember a little while ago my dad hurt his back. He has been doing much better, but he said all the hiking they did forced him to buy a cane while they were at Yosemite.

We did make somewhat of an appearance! My sister’s friend Kourtney drew these for us. Haha!

Little Stinker

This boy is so silly! I turn my back for 2 seconds to check on Averly & this is what happens…the child gets into my makeup bag & tries to put on mascara.

Monkey see, monkey do. Riley’s little personality is so funny! I just love him to death! He has started saying the cutest things lately too. The other day we were at a restaurant & when they brought his food & set it in front of him, he said “Whoa baby!!!” I was crying I was laughing so hard. Apparently someone has been watching a little too much Full House. ;0)

The next day we went swimming at my friend Kelly’s house & the kids really enjoyed the water. It was our first swim in a “real” pool this summer. Riley was going under & wanting me to throw him up in the air. I’m so glad he is not afraid of the water.

I forgot Miss Averly’s bathing suit so she just swam in her bloomers. :0)

When we were leaving & telling Kelly our goodbye’s, I said “Bye girl!” to which my little man added “Bye durl!” & waved as we were getting in the car. Cracks me up!

A couple days ago I was trying to find him something for breakfast & asked him what he wanted. He pointed to the cabinet where we keep a small stash of candy & said “Nanny Mama peeeesh (please)”. How could I resist? After all, he did say please! I may or may not have given him a piece of candy with his oatmeal that morning.

While reading a book about a raccoon’s birthday party (can’t remember the name of it), he started singing Happy Birthday. It was our first time to read this book & I never sang it while we were reading, but he picked up on it by the pictures & me reading the word “Birthday” over & over. It was the most precious thing too. “Hap you you, hap you youuuuu”.

So hard to believe this sweet little boy of mine turned 22 months old yesterday & that he will be TWO YEARS OLD in August! Wow.

3 Months Old

This little bathing beauty turns 3 months old today! I cannot believe how fast she is growing up. Sweet Averly, you light up my life! You make every day so great & as much as I hate to leave you to go to work, I love the huge smiles I get when I see you again. Morning time is another one of my favorites. I get that big, bright smile & it is a perfect start to the day. You are such a well-behaved baby. The only time we hear a peep out of you is if you are hungry or ready to go to sleep & can’t. You continuously sleep 10-11 hours at night. Praise the Lord! You have the sweetest, most kissable cheeks & I take full advantage of that, giving you tons & tons of kisses all day! You are really “talking” big now & had a full out conversation for a good 15 minutes with Dada on Sunday. The only thing that ended it was you spitting up all over his belly. Twice. You have the softest feet & I could just rub them all day long. And I pretty much do because I rub them every time you eat. Your feet & your head. But that puts you to sleep & then you don’t get enough to eat, but I just can’t help myself. You are so cuddly & nuzzle your cheek up against mine when I’m holding you. I wish time would stop or at least slow down, but since it won’t I try to soak every minute all in. You are wearing mostly 3 months size clothes, but have a couple things that are 3-6 months. Still a little big though. I just recently bought size 2 diapers for you & they fit great but your 1-2 still fit fine too. Your hair grows so much every day. Literally! Every morning it is a little longer & a little fuller where it fell out before. Someone even said you had lots of body in your hair! I hope it stays that way & doesn’t get like Mama’s because I have the flattest, most non-volumized hair ever. It still looks like it may want to curl a little too. Guess we'll have to wait a while for it to be long enough to tell. For some reason unbeknownst to me, you actually enjoy my horrible singing. You get quiet & stare at me like you want me to keep going. So sweet. As soon as you get in your car seat you put the little strap protector doggies in your mouth & suck on them. You love those little things! And as always, you are such an angel baby.

You stayed with your "Aunt Kelly" yesterday & today while Mama was at work since your grandparents are on vacation. She said you did great & were so good for her! This was the first time you or Riley has stayed with anyone besides a family member for the whole day! (Riley stayed with my sister, in case you were wondering. She was a little nervous about keeping both of them so Averly went to my friend's house.)

Happy 3 Months Sugar Poo! I love you more than you'll ever know!!

Also, I finally got back into my pre-pregnancy pants last week! I guess I should've included that in my "So How's Mama Doing?" post, but I was too busy at the time missing my babies to think about it. I still have a ways to go, but am pretty excited about wearing normal clothes again.

So How’s Mama Doing?

Well yesterday was my first day back at work & I did alright. Today has been harder on me though. I’ve almost let a tear slip once or twice today but I’m hanging in there. My mom said that Averly only ate 4 oz total yesterday from 10:00 to 5:30. She HATES the bottle! Riley would only take Dr. Browns bottles & that’s what kind we tried with Averly, but she did not like it at all. Mom said she threw a fit every time she tried to feed her & refused to eat. Poor baby. I felt bad for my mom too because there was nothing she could do at the time. We bought some Avent bottles last night & are trying those today. My mom said that she likes those better & has eaten a couple times today so far. Yay! Today is my last day working this week & I am so glad that I will be at home with my babies tomorrow!

Oh how I miss this chunky baby girl & silly little dirty faced boy!

Quarter of a Century

Yesterday was my Birthday & I am now a quarter of a century old! We had a nice little family cookout at our house Saturday night with my parents, Brooke & Josh, and Mary Duke, Anthony & Hartley (who are like family to us). My sister was at the lake for Memorial Day, but I let it slide just this one time! ;0)

Little Miss Averly turned 12 weeks old yesterday as well. She is growing like a weed!

I had a wonderful Birthday & I am so blessed to have the wonderful people in my life that made it so great. Thank you all for everything these past 25 years. It’s been a fun ride so far!

As we all know, yesterday was Memorial Day. TAG had to work so I spent the day with the kids, my parents & my sister. We didn't do much, just took it easy & enjoyed the day. Thank you to all the men & women who serve our country to make it such a great one!

Today is also my first day back at work. I haven't cried yet, but I miss my babies so so much! My mom even brought them up for a visit this morning so that made things a little easier.
