Christmas Day

When we got up on Christmas morning, Santa relaxed after a long night of delivering & putting together toys!



Bubba liked Riley’s new Harley he got.



Little Miss was definitely more aware of what was going on this year. Her first reaction was a little bit of un-sureness but she caught on quickly!



Averly cooking in her new kitchen! My dad made it out of an old entertainment center that I had in college. We still have a few more tweaks to make—like adding the oven door & a little curtain under the sink, and I may paint something on the back??



After we played with our new toys for a while, we packed up & headed to Bubba & Vivi’s house. When we got there, we saw that Santa had been there too!



I just have to point out that Averly is wearing an old sweatshirt of mine that one of my mom’s friends made for me when I was her age. I just love having things of mine that she can wear too!

Christmas at Aunt B’s

I am rushing to get caught up on these Christmas posts so I’ll just let the pictures do the talking for the most part.

Every year we do Christmas Eve with TAG’s side of the family at Brooke’s house. This year my parents came too.

Before we opened presents, Santa (my dad) came by to say hello! Riley knew it was Bubba! Nothing gets past this kid. We kept telling him that Bubba was in the bathroom & he was just missing Santa, but Riley knew better.



Averly, on the other hand, was terrified of this “strange” man. As we all know, she is not a fan of Santa.



After Santa left, we opened presents & went back to our house to get ready for bed & for Santa to come back & deliver some toys for Riley & Averly.

Christmas with the family Part 1

The weekend before Christmas we went to my cousin’s house for our family get together. It’s always a big time when we get this side of the family all together!

No Santa appearances at this Christmas, but he did come to Aunt B’s house to horrify visit Averly & Riley!

Averly Hates Santa

Riley has always done fairly well with Santa. He usually get shy & quiet, but only once has he really acted scared & that was this year with the Santa at his school. He just took a little time to compose himself & then he was fine. Averly on the other hand, is terrified & I mean terrified of Santa. Just if you say his name, she gets a deer in the headlights look on her face & hides. Sometimes cries. If you say Ho Ho Ho & have jingle bells it's over. A traumatic experience. For her & everyone around.

When we went to Brooke & Josh’s house on Christmas Eve, Santa made an appearance there too. Here is a sneak peak at her reaction then.



Poor baby was horrified. Maybe next year she’ll warm up to him??
