Didn’t you know…

Those are sooo last season.

Already?

Little Miss has been getting really good at grasping things & she loves hitting at her toys more now too. She also likes to grab at my phone, which makes it hard to text sometimes if I’m holding her. ;0) She is growing up so fast. Too fast. I just can’t believe she will soon be 4 months old! I have a feeling I’m going to blink & then be sending her off to Jr. High!

We’ve also seen some of this lately. Not necessarily the fussing & pulling out her bow part, but the whole arching her back & planting her heels. I think we are getting very close to rolling over from her back to her belly. Speaking of which, she did roll from her belly to her back on Friday, June 25th. The first time she had a little help from me but the second time she threw her arm back & kicked right on over. Then she just layed there looking up at me like “what just happened?”

Baby girl has been laughing & squealing more too! It is just too precious! I can’t get enough of her. Especially her sweet chubby cheeks!

And look at her hair! It’s so cute sticking straight up on top of her little head. She looks like she has a buzz cut. :0)

She loves to stand & actually enjoys her tummy time. (Riley always hated being on his belly for very long.) I think a tooth may be trying to pop in because she is drooling like crazy & has been waking up earlier than normal. She usually wakes up around 8:30, but she has been getting up around 6:00. I really think it's her teeth waking her up because she lets out a shrill like something is hurting her & then can't get back to sleep for a while. Also I think we may start rice cereal soon to keep her fuller at night as well. I'm just not ready for it yet. I feel like that makes her seem so old! But I know I will have to sooner or later.

Sweet Averly please slow down with all this growing business. I want to keep my baby girl around longer instead of having a big girl already just yet. K?

What we’ve been up to

Other than celebrating the 4th, we’ve been visiting Bubba & Vivi (my mom & dad). Here’s a few pictures to sum up last week.

Happy Birthday America!

We went to Brooke & Josh’s house for the 4th this year. We got there Saturday evening & shot fireworks that night. Riley liked watching them, but didn’t like the loud ones. They didn’t seem to bother Averly though.

Averly was crying because it was way past her bedtime & little miss was tired.

The next morning we got up & went to the park. Riley had so much fun playing with Dada.

Averly got to swing for the first time. I think she liked it, but her eyes were watering in this picture & it looks like she was crying.

Then before naptime we went swimming.

Riley even jumped…uh sorta, more like rolled off the diving board! ;0)

After the kids took their naps we cooked out & ate some great food!

Bath Time

My little ones had their first brother/sister bath on June 24th. I think they really enjoyed each other’s company. It was an extra long bath that night too!

Riley was so sweet & kept giving Averly toys to play with.

And he washed his little sister. Precious.
