Babies, Parties, & Baby Parties

Just 4 days after Riley’s Birthday, my best friend had her twins!!!! I was so excited that I was able to be there in the waiting room during her C-Section. I was actually on my way back home from my mom & dad’s house & got a call from her that her water broke!! I whipped my car around & headed back west to the hospital!

The next day we went to Chandler’s Birthday party at the skating rink! We’ve only been skating once before about a year ago at another Birthday party. Averly was pretty good at it, but Riley was more interested in the games.



That night we had a couple’s baby shower that we helped host for a sweet friend of mine! Aunt B kept the kids & took them to another party that night!

My baby is FOUR!!!

How in the world can it be that I brought this sweet boy home from the hospital 4 years ago??



I miss my baby being a baby! But he is growing up—right before my eyes. Such a sweet, caring & loving little boy. And so smart too! He loves learning to write his letters & numbers as well as how to draw different things. He has a stick person down pretty good! His favorite to draw is a dinosaur though. Being outside & playing football is one of his favorite things to do. He also loves exploring in the “forest” at his Bubba & ViVi’s house.

Riley is such a good big brother. He is so protective of his little sister & very quick to show her off! The first thing he tells people is “this is my sister Avalee” & puts his arm around her neck.

I am so proud to be your Mama & so thankful that God gave me you. You bring so much joy to mine & your Daddy’s lives. I don’t know how we got by before you now that we have you to love & make us laugh every day! I love you to the moon & back, to infinity & beyond!

Toy Story “4” Riley’s 4th Birthday Party

Yet again I have let time get away from me & haven’t posted in forever. But waaaay back in August was Riley’s 4th Birthday! He wanted a Toy Story party this year. This party wasn’t as elaborate as I’ve done in the past, but he enjoyed himself & that’s all that matters! I kept the food simple & just did pizza, chips, & cake! Along with tea, capri suns, or water to drink. We had it at our house & in the middle of August in the South, if you aren’t inside, you need to be in water! So we had lots of kiddie pools, sprinklers & water guns to stay cool!

One of my best friends in the whole world! SO thankful they drove 2 hours just for Riley’s party! We used to live 3 minutes from each other so now it’s hard going so long without being together every week. Love you & miss you, Mary Duke!
