Happy Easter!

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..." 1 Peter 1:3

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Ours was great! We woke up early Sunday morning to see what the Easter Bunny brought Riley. TAG was more excited about this than any of us, I believe! We made our way into the living room & to find Riley's basket full of every type of sports ball imaginable, bath toys, stuffed animals & some candy for Mommy & Daddy. ;0)
After playing with the toys for a little while, it was time to get dressed for church. The service was beautiful & such a great start to the morning. The whole day Riley was intrigued by his Easter outfit. The smocked bunnies had little cotton ball tails & he loved to feel of them.

What a cutie pie!

Don't worry...I didn't let him eat that Peep! Even though he wanted to very badly!

After church my parents & sister came to our house. We ate BBQ & had a wonderful time even though my dad was sick with a sinus infection. The weather wasn't quite as warm & sunny as I was hoping for so we had to stay inside. We still had a fun time though. And unfortunately, we didn't get to spend any of the day with TAG's family. We are planning on making a trip to Iuka in the next couple of weeks to see everyone.

Some Riley & Mommy play time. My favorite time.

Riley has been soooo close to crawling the past few days & yesterday he came even closer! He got some good practice in going after all of the Easter eggs rolling across the floor. At this point he refuses to put his knees on the floor to actually crawl. He keeps the bottoms of his feet & the palms of his hands on the floor while he maneuvers himself around. He has earned himself a new nickname around the house because he somewhat resembles Mogley off of The Jungle Book. Bless him.

But hey, he gets where he wants to go & is happy. It works.
He has also gotten very good at pulling himself up on the furniture. I'm glad I moved the coffee table out when I did! This boy is into everything!

More catch-up posts coming soon. I just had to post about our Easter real quick. Happy Monday!

  2. Ok he is SOOOO cute and that blue outfit was the perfect color for his eyes. He will def make your heart melt. When I look at your pics I can't help but laugh and wonder what your husband says when you dress Riley in the smocked and shortall outfits. Brandon hates them but has learned to just not say anything! :) Finally I know Riley will love those bath letters Aiden stays in the bath for 30 minutes now playing with those!
